課程概述 |
修習本課程的導演學生，將以Shakespeare的The Merchant of Venice《威尼斯商人》作為演練文本，除了學習並瞭解如何從導演的角度進行劇本分析的方法與步驟外，更將透過期末自我導演作品的創作過程，進階學習如何具體型塑與落實自身的導演創作構想。 |

課程目標 |
本課程旨在介紹劇場導演在排練前及排練期間所有準備功課與導戲技巧，學生將從中瞭解劇場導演在執導一齣戲的整個工作流程，從排練前的分本分析、創作構想型塑、到排練期間導演所必須負責的工作事項，包括演員甄選以及如何與演員和設計者工作，到最後進劇場的技彩排等等。 |

課程要求 |
限修畢過導演(一)或導演專題者，且有實際導演經驗者，且須具有大量閱讀英文資料能力者。欲修課同學必須在第一堂課上課前繳交個人相關劇場資歷及作品集(如可提供)，第一週上課時將舉行甄選。無故缺課兩次以上者，該科以零分計；上課遲到者以三次為上限，每次扣學期總成績5分，超過三次則以零分計。 |
